Our Approach to Private-Pay Care

At Elements of Change, we believe mental health treatment should be guided by the needs of our clients, not by insurance companies. For too long, insurance providers have acted as gatekeepers, determining what treatments are covered, how often services can be provided, and even how long someone can remain in care. Our therapists are guided by professional ethics, evidence-based practices, and the unique goals of each client. Treatment decisions are made collaboratively between the therapist and client.

By operating as a private-pay practice, we maintain the flexibility to provide individualized care without outside interference. This approach offers greater privacy, avoids unnecessary medical diagnoses for reimbursement, and allows us to focus entirely on your healing and growth. For clients seeking out-of-network reimbursement, we provide quarterly superbills upon request. Your care should be determined by clinical need and your personal goals, not insurance limitations.

Community Partners

Elements of Change is proud to partner with Flow Grappling Academy to offer a trauma-informed approach to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. We believe the mats can be a powerful place for growth, healing, and resilience. By combining quality jiu-jitsu instruction with an understanding of trauma, emotional regulation, and community, we help students build confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and learn to work through challenges—on and off the mats.
